JAH Foundation asks that you read over the criteria it uses to select its recipients. The foundation funds only those charitable organizations that are recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. The foundation does not make grants to individuals or non-operating private foundations.
Funding Criteria
- Organizations who provide ministry and service to the poor, the homeless, and the marginalized
- Organizations who provide care, rehabilitation services, or recreational activities to those with mental health, developmental, and/or physical disabilities
- Catholic education and evangelization
- Disaster Relief
Geographic Area
The foundation focuses its funding on organizations in Summit County, Ohio. Consideration may be given to eligible organizations in the surrounding counties (Portage, Medina, Stark, Cuyahoga Counties) on a case-by-case basis.
When to Apply
JAH Foundation reviews letters of inquiry on a regular basis. Letters of inquiry should be received by the foundation no later than October 31. The Board of JAH Foundation meets in early November each year and grants are awarded in December. Urgent needs may be considered on an individual basis.
